In my "past" life as a conservation biologist at Columbia University, preserving nature and engaging in environmentally friendly practices that protected the purity of the world around us and best sustained it for future generations, was my livelihood. When I was not doing research, I enjoyed exploring the wines from vineyards around the world, particularly those crafted using sustainable, minimally invasive, and organic and biodynamic methods that did not harm the environment. This passion led me to complete WSET II, viticulture and blind tasting certificates from the Sommelier Association and certificates in viticulture and oenology from the Université du Vin in France. Before settling in New York, I studied foreign languages and ecology and am a native French speaker, fluent in English & Italian and conversant in Spanish & Dutch.
